Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is now practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise.
The Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi Series was created by Professor Lin Hou Sheng from China. Part 1, 18 movements (Shi Ba Shi) was created in 1979. Part 2, 18 movements, was created in 1988. Four more Tai Chi Qigong 18 movement sets were created in the 1990's.
